New Jersey

The New Jersey Colony,was founded in, 1664.  The motivation of the colonists was to be a representative government, and have freedom of Religion. There were two very important men in the colony, their names were, Lord Berkley and Sir George Carter.  Lord Berkley was an English royalist soldier who wanted to create a colony. Sir George Carter saw Lord Berkley's enthusiasm and wanted to create a colony with each other.
